Summary

Media convergence and crossmedia are currently the main keywords used
by newspaper publishing companies around the world when it comes to the
future of newspaper publishing.

Innovative publishing companies are now working together with their
multimedia newsrooms to provide audiences with a range of cross-media
products and services. Not only do their readers benefit from richer
content, but advertisers also see the potential of reaching new
audiences through new channels.

This wokshop has been designed to help Managers and Journalists gain
the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully develop and
implement multimedia convergent strategies in their organisations.
Examples taken from international case studies from the industry will
highlight how newspapers are embracing media convergence, and how they
have developed successful cross-media models for print, online and
mobile.

The focus of this workshop is discussing and analysing strategical
questions, as well as carrying out practical exercises for
demonstration purposes only.
