QA/Testing Resource

The candidate should be able to:

• Perform assigned test cases and plans
• Setup test cases based on provided features, specifications and performance requirements
• Identify, document and report errors and issues found with the system using KV’s procedures
• Develop technical Knowledge of RAPID Browser, RAPID Archive, RAPID Browser plug-ins, Video, Web and Mobile applications and all other KV Publish Live products, and be able to document releases
• Identify problems, troubleshoot, and provide possible solutions for urgent issues
• Have good communication skills, be proficient in English, enjoy problem-solving and have acute attention to detail

It will be a plus if the candidate has a background in Computer Science and development as we expect the candidate’s role to develop based on acquiring new competence and based on KnowledgeView’s future needs.

Deployment, Support, Integration and Training Engineer

Support Engineer

The candidate should be able to:

• Be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the applications network and computer environments deployed within the company; this includes managing and troubleshooting existing application network and technical environments, and supporting a variety of software and hardware
• Answering clients technical support calls and solving as much as possible remotely over the phone, emails or through remote access (Provide remote troubleshooting)
• Manage queries from customers by giving them suitable answers as required including advice on hardware upgrade for the applications support
• Maintaining the quality of customer service by logging and tracking all activity into the help desk ticketing application, escalating the queries whenever necessary, tracking the response time and follow up on pending calls.
• Document all reported incidents regarding breakdowns and their resolution. – identify trends to assist in future problem resolution through enriching the Knowledge Base
• Required to multitask, adapt to situations and take decisions
• Coordinates installation and maintenance of software products and peripherals providing remote assistance to deployment teams. Assisting other personnel as may be required for the purpose of contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the work unit
• Develops and prepares user materials for the purpose of providing instruction and reference. (e.g. new applications, upgrades, updates, etc.) For the purpose of ensuring proper and efficient use of system
• Oversees assigned projects for the purpose of ensuring accurate and timely completion of related tasks
• In charge of infrastructure and servers. Monitoring the servers’ health and maintaining them raising the flag whenever a problem is seen
• Client-facing experience
• Firm grasp of how the web works, networking, and software products

PHP Developer

The PHP Developer / Web Engineer will build and migrate sites, customize modules and provide continuous enhancement. 
Primary job responsibility is to provide PHP programming and high-performance functionality for websites and mobile. Developers are challenged on a daily basis to solve problems creatively, to design efficient implementations and configure robust web solutions.

The candidate should have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or commensurate work experience
• 2+ years of PHP and MySQL development;
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• 1 + years experience with Drupal
• Strong debugging and testing skills and the ability to easily and quickly read and modify existing code
• Commercial experience in Web Application development and / or software development is desirable. as is familiarity with coding practices and team programming tools such as bugzilla, subversion, etc.
• Good level of communication. Both written and verbal in Arabic and English
• Good web server knowledge, apache, lighttpd or others and a good understanding of performance issues and caching
• Sound knowledge of communication technologies such as TCP/IP, Proxies, FTP, etc. Also a very good understanding of databases is needed as many programming tasks require making use of different types of database such as SQL, MySQL etc.
• Candidates should most of all be enthusiastic about creative programming & be communicative team members with a positive attitude; dedication and willingness to work hard often under high production pressure. Interested in all  new technologies and programming languages

The company wishes to expand the use of its Newsroom software to other market sectors in KSA, and seeks a candidate with thorough knowledge of the media market and a track record of success in expanding sales operations directly and via a network of partners. The candidate will lead the company’s business development activities in KSA.

The Candidate should:

• Have a good university degree
• Have excellent language skills in Arabic and English
• Be resident in the KSA or at least able to stay long periods in KSA with commute from Lebanon.
