KnowledgeView, a leading multi-publishing solutions provider in the MENA region, took part in a key publishing industry meeting in Paris last week during which KnowledgeView showcased the first iPad application for Al Eqtisadiyah newspaper, as part of its long term partnership with Saudi Research Marketing Group.

Al Eqtisadiyah is the foremost business daily in the Middle East. Published from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia it covers business, finance and investment news from the region.

The iPad application provides e-reader facilities with coverage of breaking news from the ‘Publish live’ Newsroom software developed by KnowledgeView, allowing journalists to easily multi publish on different platforms including paper, mobile, iPad and social community sites.

KnowledgeView has launched earlier in March iPhone and iPad clients applications for 'PageView' that was firstly used by Mr. Rashed Al Oraimi, Chief Editor for Al Ittihad newspaper, Abu Dhabi UAE. The iPhone and iPad applications allow the media management to browse the newspaper pages as they are being built. These client applications are now available to the large PageView users community at a nominal charge.

It is noteworthy that both iPad and iPhone applications will have off-line browsing capability that will give the readers access to news at all times. The development of these applications is designed to generate significant revenues from subscriptions and advertising which is part of KnowledgeView's strategy to develop commercial products to help clients generate revenues through subscriptions, syndication and online advertising.
