KnowledgeView, a leading multi-publishing solution provider in Europe and the MENA region, concluded last week a new deal with Maroc Soir Group (MSG), the prominent publishing company in Morocco, through which KnowledgeView will provide MSG with Web-mobile, iPad and iPhone native applications that will add value to the readers’ experience with rich-media representation of news.
“Maroc Soir Group has always been striving to give its audience the best news services through print and digital publishing. We believe that our collaboration with KnowledgeView will allow us to reach our readers through the latest media tools and target new audiences.
MSG has several titles in different languages and we hope that this partnership will help us grow as a pioneering publishing company in the region. On the editorial front, this new step will enrich our content offering that will be distinctively different from a medium to another”, Kamal El Alami, IT Director at MSG, said.
The ‘Publish live’ mobile offering is designed to support video on any smart phone and has a unique extended sms publishing mechanism with links to rich-media story. Both sms and rich-media publishing are done with one-click from the Publish live Newsroom system already installed at Maroc Soir newspaper titles.
The iPhone and iPad Apps allow off-line browsing and are coupled with an e-reader for newspaper pages. The Apps also support Apple’s iAd advertising system and have a powerful subscription and micro-charging modules.
“Our partnership with Maroc Soir Group started in 2008, using Publish live, we built together the multi-publishing editorial system to help the leading group leverage its pioneering position using best digital and printing practices. Accessing a wider audience base is no longer a hard task as we have developed new technologies that allow multi-publishing on mobile, iPhone and iPad and other media with a click of a button”, said Dr. Ali Al-Assam, KnowledgeView’s CEO.
